Present – Bright sunny morning
Cold wind slowly blows through the curtain waking me up. I lay awake staring at the ceiling, trying to follow the rotating blades of the fan. Minutes later I sit up with my legs on the floor, arms resting on my thighs and fingers through my hair. I hear the clock ticking and the slow breeze coming through the window. The Memories come flooding back.
Past – Bright sunny morning
A soft music wakes me up and I feel a soft peck on my neck. I sit up and she runs her fingers through my hair, I kiss her back on the forehead and she gives me her radiant smile. I pull her into me and put my arm around her and we both look through the window at the lovely green trees swaying softly.
Present
I walk towards the closet and dress up.
I head into the kitchen and make myself a cup of coffee, a quick sandwich and sit on a chair at the kitchen table. I sip my coffee and eat the sandwich while staring blankly at the wall. Finishing it, I place the mug and the plate in the sink. I pick up the keys and a pack of cigarettes from the table. I light one up and putting on the jacket, head out of my apartment locking the door behind.
Strangely enough, I still hear the clock ticking in my head. TICK TOCK TICK TOCK. I can’t seem to remove it from my head.
Finishing my cigarette, I click the elevator button. I step inside and head down and then out through the main door. I take a left and walk on the street. Empty. I continue my walk and stop when I see the door of a familiar bar. I step in.
I still hear the clock ticking and same windy sound here inside the bar as well. I lean onto the bar counter, I gulp down a few shots. Then the Memories come flooding back, there’s no stopping them.
Past
It’s a Happy Hour at the Bar, and they are playing some beautiful light music. I see her standing at the bar counter holding a cigarette in her hand and searching for a lighter. I walk next to her with a cigarette of my own and offer my lighter to her. We order our drinks and sit across the table, I take her hands in mine and we both stare into each other’s eyes, and listen to the lovely songs for hours.

Past – An Evening to remember
The lovely crimson sun was slowing setting down, leaving behind the magical golden yellow colors behind. Dim lit theater, empty seats. We see the actors dancing to the lovely music. He holds her hand and by the waist, and they waltz around the room. The actor takes the actress in his arms, kisses her and then carries her off in his arms. We kiss in the dark. I hear her giggling sound, which takes my breath away.
Present – breakup
I wake up and roll off the bed. I hear a loud thumping sound inside my head. I light up a cigarette and take a big puff in, walking into the kitchen I see nothing but darkness around. I take another big drag. I head into the living room. I see a guy sitting on the couch with his arms on the thighs and his hands behind, holding his head. He looks up and stares at me. He looks exactly like me. Another version of me. I walk out through my apartment door. I see the elevator opened and she is inside with a packed briefcase in her hand. I click the elevator button. Wait. Don’t Go. Wait.
TICK TOCK TICK TOCK.
I fall deep down unaware of my state.
I’m back on the street, clueless which way to take?
Left or Right?
Left : I take a few steps towards the left. I see her. The Past. The Clock is ticking, alarm is ringing. Memories. I stop walking. The ringing stops. She is gone.
Right : I return back to the door, I take a few steps towards right. The Present. There is no clock, no alarm, no music, empty streets. There is no her!
I stop, I turn back. I run towards the door, run past it. Chasing her. All the memories blaze past me.
The Bar. Park.Theather. our place together.
I’m trying to hold on to her. I keep running and then jump off the bridge!
TICK TOCK TICK TOCK TICK!
